I have just returned from the most amazing holiday in Paris and London with my mum and sister. I drank champagne and ate cake every day, every day for two whole weeks. It was legitimate bliss.
Between eating and drinking we shopped up a storm. For my recent clients reading this, you will know that I have been saving myself from buying anything for my kit because I wanted to go nuts on makeup while in Europe. Nuts I went; I spent $100 on a single lipstick…. I regret nothing! Side note – Tom Ford makeup is worth every penny. Or pound in my case.
I found that the prices in Sephora Paris were more than what you would pay for things here in Australia at Mecca so I didn’t buy much. Although as a traveller you are eligible to get some of the VAT back. I cottoned on to this in London so I am going to do a separate post going in to more detail about claiming VAT back.
I am jumping straight back into work with a wedding this Saturday so I can’t wait to use all my new toys!
I specifically wanted to buy brands that we don’t have super easy access to here in Perth such as Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury and Illamasqua. Even though Illamasqua is a UK brand, it’s cheaper to buy it here in Australia through Myer. Here are some pics of the products I bought. I have another post coming specific to french pharmacy skin care as it requires a whole post in its honour.
Until next time,
